College students named D.A.R. Good Residents
5 space college students had been honored on the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award Ceremony and Reception on the Longview Library.
Chloe Lee Anne Bates of White Oak Excessive College was the native winner of the scholarship essay contest. Her data and essay had been submitted to the Texas D.A.R. Good Citizen Contest and he or she positioned third within the state competitors. Her state award and scholarship might be offered to her on the Texas D.A.R. Conference.
The opposite college students who had been acknowledged by the Daughters of the American Revolution and obtained scholarship checks had been Hannah Elizabeth McCrory, Longview Excessive College; Chadea De Shay Gipson, Pine Tree Excessive College; Luisa Trujillo Soto, Spring Hill Excessive College; and Katherine Yount, New Diana Excessive College.
Sponsored by the Aaron Burleson chapter of the D.A.R., the scholarship program is for space highschool seniors who’re advisable as D.A.R. Good Residents. These college students have the choice of taking part within the state competitors. This yr’s topic was “Our American Heritage and Our Accountability for Preserving It.”
